If you decide to spend your holidays on Dugi Otok you simply must visit following places: the natural park of Telascica - nature reserve with a salt lake in the south, Veli Rat lighthouse, Kornati archipelago, cove Saharun with the most amazing sandy beach, beach Mežanj, capes of Veli Rat and Sali, town Zadar - accessible by ferry from Brbinj or hydrofoil from Sali.
Places
Sali - Sali is the largest town on Dugi Otok island. It got its name from a salt production tradition that has been in Sali from a long long time ago. It is located in the southern part of Dugi otok island and it is the closest town to the Kornati National Park. Just 3km away from Sali you will find a cove Telascica and the salty lake. Staying in the apartments of lighthouse Tajer is an unforgettable experience!
Božava - is a town that is a home to several hotels, a few restaurants, grocery stores and a post office. The beaches are rocky or cemented. Božava, is an oasis of peace where the sea is crystal blue and the bays are surrounded by pine tree forests. Hotel Lavanda*** is located in one of those forests, just few steps from the sea. Hotel Maxim**** has been completely renovated recently and has a great terrace that overlooks the bay. Hotel Agava*** is made out of several smaller buildings that contain family rooms for up to 4 people.
Brbinj - Small port on the island of Dugi otok where the ferry from Zadar port. It is town known for it's coves covered with olive trees. Most popular nearby bays are called Jaz and Lučina.
