St. Peter lighthouse was built in 1884 on the peninsula of the same name that is placed at the entrance to the town of Makarska, in the vicinity of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic. The lighthouse is a 20 minute walk from the center of Makarska and is 85 km from Split Airport. An asphalt road leads to the lighthouse. The lighthouse is a stone, ground-floor building surrounded by a terrace. There is one five-bed apartment in the lighthouse. The peninsula itself is a forest park. The distance from the lighthouse terrace to the sea is 10 meters. There are several beaches with flat rocks suitable for suntanning in the vicinity of the lighthouse. When going from the lighthouse to Makarska, you will pass by one of the most beautiful pebble beaches on the Adriatic that has been awarded a Blue Flag. It is suitable for small children and offers numerous recreational activities and restaurants.

Lighthouse SV.PETAR - Makarska - Guest rating

After this stay 2019 definitely do not recommend. The lighthouse terrace and the surrounding area serve as a toilet for staff and guests of the adjacent bar. It is enough to feel. Danger of disease. The local employee of the accommodation agency is incapable and unreliable. The owner of the building behaves passively. Tourism on Makarska is declining with rising prices. Sea dirty from passing ships (oil, faeces).
